At the Lower Tower of Tilllyria, in the Nicosia district, on a low seaside hill, in an area known as "Troulli", are the remains of a medieval building. This small building appears to have been built during the Byzantine period and was used as a guiding lighthouse for friendly boats but also as an observatory.
