The famous "Tombs of the Kings" are part of the Archaeological Park of Kato Paphos, one of the most important archaeological sites in Cyprus, which has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1980.The monumental tombs are and are dated to the Hellenistic and Roman Periods. Instead of kings, high-ranking officials and members of the aristocracy were actually buried here. However, the size and grandeur of the tombs, some of which are decorated with Doric columns, gave the site its magnificent name.
